I like novice groups.  I can pass their high dollar sports cars in my $1,650 40 year old Mustang I bought 30 years ago this month.

OK...  so who do I contact to find out whether they'll let me run the Diasio?  No working headlights, no windshield wipers, no passenger seat, etc., etc.

I think they would pleased to have the Diasio. If you get a 2nd seat in that, you could even give charity rides.

For the "First time" folks, there are some good articles on both thr TrackDaze and NASA sites as to how to prepare your car, what to wear, what to expect, meaning of flags, driving techniques, and the like. Not that any of it has improved my driving, I found it helpful in preparing myself and car for HPDE and reduced some of the normal anxiety associated with doing something new.

O.K.  I think I've figure it out. You guys like the local track events that require you to take the day off work....Except Scott. I can't explain that.

If I were to register as a novice, would I need to have an instructor and a passenger roll bar? If I need an instructor, I guess Dervish, The Earl of March, would do it for me, right Dervish?
