Not an FFR, but similar....  These are maximum motorsports lower arms on the track car.  New rules for next year allow us to run a 74.5" wheelbase, compared to 73" last year.  This is the start of the do-it-yourself SLA front suspension project.  Nothing like running 150+mph on parts you welded yourself  :uglystupid2:.  The MM arms are 1.250" tubes, instead of the smaller ones as supplied by FFR.  As such I was able to use the weld in tube adapters, and I used FK 3 piece teflon lined rod ends, 3/4 thread and 3/4" bore.  Same 5/8 high misalignment reducers, except Ford in it's wisdom chose to use 16mm lower arm bolts, which is about 4/1000's larger than 5/8" bore.  The 5/8" adapters had to be massaged a bit to fit.   The mustang runs a strut suspension, so the lower shock mounts had to be positioned and welded in place too...

How much did you have to trim off the front wheel well opening to keep the tires from hitting?

I haven't gotten that far yet...   I think stock width for a fox body is around 69"...  My fenders were already cut/stretched and flares added to cover my tires at 73" last year.  I'm adding another 0.75" to each side so I may be cutting the current flares off and adding something bigger...  Or I may rip the fender down the top and add the width there....
