ERA Dollies
« on: November 02, 2011, 11:54:01 am »
If anyone is interested in building an ERA and is doing the work themselves; I have a set of dollies that are for ERA chassis (fits both 298 and 427).  These are used when the car is picked up in CT and during the build.  ERA charges a $300 deposit for theirs.  Why not have your own for $150 OBO?

Frank:

Would you please email me a photo or two of the dollies?  I'm planning to tear the suspension out from under mine over the winter and want to see if they would be useful.  (I purchased my car pre-owned, so never saw the dollies).  allen.bishop@volvo.com

Thanks,

- Allen.

Allen,  I believe your car has already been on and used these dollies.  They will fit.  They are identical in every way to the ERA dollies.  I'm friends with your cars builder/previous owner.

I will be heading to Pottstown in a few weeks to deliver some iron work I fabricated to Darby.  Sure.

I*'m planning to use the dollies to roll around the FIA in my garage while doing annual maintenance on it.  That is if I can afford to keep it until the economy turns around

Bill,  That FIA you are selling on CC is someone elses?  If not I hope you hang on to it.  You had a long search to get it.

Jim, sadly, it's mine. Business is way down and I'm feeling guilty having it.....Doubt it will sell as it is a car few can truly appreciate with it's drivetrain combination in an ERA. But you never know. Personally, I hope it does not sell, hence the purchase of the chassis dollies so I can do winter maintenance on it and get it ready for the spring.
