Doug has bought an '81 Fairmont(ster) Station Wagon which we're putting a 351W in.  You'll never guess where the inspiration for this little project came from.  8)  We're looking for some "Fox Body" parts that might be floating about leftover from builds.

We are looking for:

Fan Shroud  --  Got it -- Mustang junkyard
Fan Clutch  --  Got it -- Scott's inventory
8.8" Rear Axle  --  Got it -- www.mpsautosalvage.com
Mechanical Fuel Pump  --  Got it -- Summit Racing
Exhaust System from manifold back or cat back and nothing excessively rusty
Power Steering Pump  --  Got it -- KRC & Mount -- my inventory
Air Conditioning Compressor and Hoses and other underhood A/C parts
Flex plate and Convertor for C4  -  Got it from Summit / TCI
Bell Housing for C4  -  Got it from ebay
Brakes/Rotors  --  Got rears with the 8.8 rear end - still working on fronts
Spindles and 5-bolt hubs  --  Got it -- www.mpsautosalvage.com

4-Bolts are fine but 5-Bolts are better as we will be converting to 5-Bolt  --  Got it - all 5-bolt

We have an excellent 200ci 6-cyl engine with less than 27,000 miles on it and a 7.5" rear axle if anyone knows of anyone that might need these for a project or garage ornament.  Donated to good homes and out of the garage.

Much thanks to Elder for allowing us to troll through his parts inventory to score a few things that aren't listed here.

I think I stll have the Fox spindles, rotors and calipers left over from my upgrade, if you want them I will go find them. I also have a pair of used lincoln calipers and pads that are supposed to be a bolt on front brake upgrade that I never put on my car.

Stephen...

Thanks...  The brake parts would be great.  If it's OK I'll take it all and return what I don't use if you want it back.  Otherwise it will go into the "club inventory".

When and where can I pick them up?  Will you be at the Vienna Inn on Saturday or the Brogue on Friday or Saturday?

Scott...  Thanks for that engine.  I guess it was just gathering dust on the shelf anyway.  You are soooo generous!

Well this thing is going by several names right now some of which can't be printed here.  Blumont is a little confusing with the town of Bluemont just up the road.  Since Tom's car has been called the Banana with it's 552ci engine this car could be the Bluberry with it's little 351ci mill.  Right now it's the Fairmontster.

I can thing of one, Blueballs!

Hey, I got a large fan shroud you can have which might be able to be modified to fit if you can get one free.  Also, have mechanical fan and clutch to go with it.  Pretty bad when junk yard won't even take your stuff for free.

Thanks Ken.  We have the fan but do need the fan clutch if it's the right length - needs to be from a Fox body V8 with nylon fan.  The fan shroud also needs to be from a Fox body V8 - don't want to start hacking up a shroud.

I have two fan clutches...one of them should be good.

For a used shroud, check with Mike's Mustang Shop (Mike Hedges), 2800 Camp Hedges Pl, Bryans Road, MD. 301-283-0344

If you can't find a used one...http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/LRS-8146B-R/86-93-Mustang-50L-Fan-Shroud

Well it is nice to know that it is going to a good home and not taking up space in Scotts Garage.

You're a good man....   ;-)

Scott:   Can you bring the Fan clutches to the Brogue on Friday with the tensioner?

Thanks...   As usual all the support is very much appreciated.

If you need me to drop by Bryans Road let me know.  You can also get used parts from Mustang Specialties in GA.  Anything you want, any year!
