3- Since he was wearing some type of neck collar, I would not have taken his helmet off til he was in the ambulance under a doctor's car.

SCCA tells flaggers to NEVER remove a helmet or ASSIST in helmet removal.  Only ones allowed to do that are medical personnel or the driver if he really wants to.

Responding to impacts can be...  interesting..   Thankfully the worst injury I have seen so far involved soreness from a 5-pt harness.    Gotta tell you guys, after responding to that one, get a 6-pt harness!   (driver was sore, but fine) (Driver had a hard stop frontal impact and his gentlemens region interacted with the strap)

As Elder alludes, check here in the Gallery: http://www.capitalareacobraclub.com/v/jpgimage2048.jpg/album207/

The last two photos show the least fun part of the exercise.

If I'd known about wrist restraints I'd have avoided that aspect... I'm now a wrist restraint evangelist.

The 5-point harnesses and dual roll bars worked for me and for Cliff in the passenger's seat. He knew the "mummy position" where you grab your shoulder straps. He was on the low side of the rollover so the G-forces were a lot less on him.

I can still see the sequence: slight correction to spin on street tires at ~100mph in turn 3 at Summit, blender, whump!

Been back on Florida's tracks plus Roebling since and still not too intimidated...

Just wear all your safety gear including wrist restraints, with the belts & straps seriously tightened!
