FS: (PA) Chrome Weber 44 IDF Setup (complete)
« on: January 18, 2012, 03:35:47 pm »
Up for sale is a 44 IDF setup for Smallblock Ford 289-302cid.  This is a nicely working set-up producing over 420hp/430lb-ft (flywheel) on my 347ci while providing over 17mpg highway.  Very tractable and smooth from low RPM and strong all the way to 6000 RPM with no low/high transition issues.  Cam used with this setup (important) is a special grind CompCams unit, Serial# M 5325-08.  I have the spec card which can be made available upon request or simply call CompCams for it for comparing with your present cam.   Up-graded features include Chrome Plated bodies and cold start enrichment valves.

Carbs are set up as follows:  36 Chokes, 4.5 Aux Chokes,  135 Mains, F11 eTubes, 175 Airs, 60 Idles, 1.75 Needles, 50 Pumps, 55 Pump Exh. Valve

Fun Video of the Carbs in action:

Included in the sale:

-   (4) Chrome Plated 44 IDF Carburetors with cold start enrichment valves
-   Aluminum IDF Intake Manifold for SBF, 289-302cid.
-   (4) Oval Cast Aluminum Air Cleaners with K&N style filters.
-   Linkages
-   Braided Fuel lines
-   Regulator
-   Pressure gauge

I also have a Weber Performance Jet kit and Syncrometer that could be made available.

NOTE:  I have been in touch with Jim Inglese (203) 623-0659 regarding these carburetors, and he has stated that he will provide any services as required by the buyer of this setup.

$3,200  Buyer pays ground shipping via FedEx from 17267.  Please contact me for any questions.

Thanks guys.

BTW, I've been advised by Jim Inglese that my cam will need to be changed out to go the direction I'm considering, so I will throw in my present cam (the one listed above) for this price as well.

Moving from the IDF's to IDA's with the "bling" dialed back from 11 to something like 2.

I sure did. Spent the day with Jim in Conn. He did a great job tuning and he discovered just how different things are today with the new gas formulations. The final set up that he came up with was completely different than he said that he would have ever guessed. And he has a lot of experience. Well worth the trip. (Also one of the nicest guys you'll meet.) O0
