You didn't paint over that beautiful wood w/ that blue metallic paint did you? Ha ha. I assume two different guns right? A little more technical question- what is w/ the nearly straight stock which requires raising the scope? Reminds me of an AR. Is there an advantage to that rather than a more traditional dropped stock?

David can say for sure, but I'm guessing the high mounts are to compensate for the large lens on the business end of the scope?

The stocks I use now are wood and carbon fiber vs. the other style is fiberglass. The "form" of the gun has to conform to certain dimensions as stated in the rulebook. When the gun is "flat" on the bottom it rides back straight in the bags. The more angle to the stock, the more movement. I shoot  "free recoil" so the only part I am touching is the trigger. These guns track like a freight train.  O0
The blue gun started out red but then was blue but ended up with 'fire' on it. Had more in paint than the whole gun.  :uglystupid2:

Sold this gun ("Old Lightning") to finance the first wood gun.
