DVSF IV Rooms?

I hear that in light of the problems some had with the Cross Country Inn last year, DV has taken CC off the official list of hotels for next year.  Hampton & Fairfield Inns are the "host" hotels, with overflow somewhere across the freeway.  Since most of us have reservations at CC, I was wondering whether there was any sentiment for switching?

I'm happy w/ the CC.  I would switch to Hampton or FF if the group consensus was such, otherwise, the CC works for me.   I wouldn't want to go across the freeway to a different area.  Too much "fun" to miss if we're not right in the middle of the party area! :D

CC with it's courtyard seems ideal to me. I'm booked for 6/24 thru 6/27.  Someone (Blackjack!) needs to talk the Gasholes into biting their pride and return to the CC.

I'm booked at the CC.

By the way, this past Sunday I drove right by the motel on I-70. As I was approaching Columbus, first  passing the exit for Rt 42 to London, and then the exit to the Rome-Hilliard, I had a strange desire to take a loop around the parking lot of the CC.  Seems like a special place now; and to pass right by just didn't seem right.  Well, I knew my wife would've had me committed for such nonsense, so I just saluted and drove on by with fond memories.

Another vote for staying at the CC.  It's just tradition!

Out of curiosity...what's everyone's beef with CC?  I've had no problems myself, they seem to tolerate everyone's shenanigans very well, and at $43/night, it's hard to complain about the rate.

T-bone: there were apparently a few folks last year that got overcharged or charged for extra nights, etc.  They were very vocal about the problems they had, and DV took the CC off the list.  I've never had a problem with them either and always thought they were quite tolerant of us! :D

I was looking at the Fairfield - as a Marriott Hotel I could seriously cut my expenses (stay free with Marriott points) but don't want to miss all the CACC party activity.....

So the question is how close to the CC is the Fairfield from an operational point of view? Across the street, down the block - one mile etc.

Would I be classified as a deserter, a turncoat or some other un-flattering term?

Right now just asking  :D

I'm currently booked at the CC but will move where ever the party goes....Isn't CC the only one with a court yard? (that seems to be a definite plus!)....

Mary and I are booked at the CC. This will be our third year and have had no problems. Maybe CACC can fill the whole motel...Now that's a scary thought!
