That's a good point Scott.  I suppose it would take something more beefy than your average 1/2 ton pickup to move an FE.

Guys:

I actually thought that I had enough to do that the welding wasn't the only thing holding me up.

It just seemed a lot easier and there was a lot less chance of getting the thing out of whack again if I just waited to weld it where it sits. It was so much fun getting it lined up, I would hate to have to do it again.

Wilkins will be back in a few days and he has offered to bring his welder out to do it for me. It will be that long at least till I find a new larger clutch fork. So far, not an easy task.

Seems the big spline toploader needs a new larger throwout bearing and clutch fork (duh!) :o  :?

The big ones seem hard to find. (I know there is a joke there somewhere!) :D

Hey Zimmy,

I just had a visit from Wilkins and he was saying something about liking the Florida weather so much he may stay a while, so don't hold your breath for the welder

Hey Zimmy,  If the new tranny is giving you trouble, I've got one that will work.  I'd let it go to a friend for say...$700.

Scott tuned my carb!

TFarhood:

Thanks PAL! But ever since my engine and I started taking those pills that make you BIG - I can only deal with BIG things. Sorry.

You can probably get $800 from some small block weanie on Ebay. :P
