FYI - he is out of town for a couple more days ... just use some pvc piping from Home Depot ...

Well, Greg, it looks like your idea is going to be the solution. Wilkins and I (with ideas from Wade), have worked out how to use a straight piece of 3" PVC to replace the plastic elbow that was too short. The only issue has been placement of the bypass valve.  The pipe will be painted so it won't look so bad.

All Hail Greg!

I'll try to make this the last post I make on this thread and let it die a natural death.

Happy New Year!

Wade - Would you be willing to part with those elbows and couplers?  Name your price if so.  Although I used the Vortech dryer vent, I have long suspected that my surging is due to some combination of the length, number of bends, and air disturbance of the inlet tube.

My only question is on the size of the elbows you have.  I measure the MAF and blower inlet to be 4" OD.  The dryer vent from Vortech is, of course, 4" ID.  Are the elbows you have the same?

Travis - I'll have to measure them.  The exhaust tubing I used for the suction side, I thought was 3.5".  Perhaps it's 4"?  I know it was a perfect fit with the inlet and stock Vortech couplers.
