Cobras and Mustangs at NY track

The Rochester Shelby Club/Phoenix CMR invites all Cobras, real or replica and Mustangs to partisipate in their annual Open track Event, August 23,24 at Watkins Glen International road course in upostate NY.This event has been run for 15+ years and it is one of the finest Open Track/drivers school events held at the famous road course. Beginners as well as advanced students and Open tracker are all welcome.If you have run the homemade circle track road courses and want to give the real thing a try this is a great opportunity.
If you have never taken your Cobra on the track and want to see what it will really do in a safe environment this is for you. Lots of experienced Cobra open trackers to give instruction to make sure you bring your "baby" home safe and sound.

Don't need no big block

Don't know how many if any of you guys ran at this event but it was a very successful event. 86 cars total, two Cobras, mine and Doug Axelrod from Ohio, lots of SVT and early model Mustangs, a few kick ass Zo6's and a mixture of small rice burners.

Only one minor incident, late model Vette borrowed some paint off of the Armco and a couple of mustangs played in the sand box.

If you didn't get a chance to go this year maybe you can put it on next years schedule.

Guaranteed the most fun that you will ever have in your car, unless of course Pam Anderson is in your car.

If the club is interested in this event for 2005. I have driven watkins glenn on several occasions and it is awesome. I would love to go again.
