Oct 9th & 10th 9 High Speed Autocrosses at Summit Point,
« on: September 19, 2004, 03:39:49 pm »
Anyone wanna play on the Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point?

October 9th and 10th, the NVCC will be hosting nine high speed autocross events at Summit Point Raceway, SPOOKTAKULAR 2004!  All nine events are NCCC sanctioned and will follow the NCCC guidelines.  I can assist your drivers with the NCCC requirements.  Convertibles must have a rollbar and all cars must have a fire extinguisher. The driver must have proof of completing 10 low speed autocross or 1 high speed autocross in the past year.  HPDE & similar high speed driving schools count as well.

We have 60 slots available and 30 of them are already filled.  I recommend that you register for this event now if you have any interest in it because we will be full before the event date.

The NCCC flyer with directions, registration information, cost, etc can be found here:

http://www.ernccc.org/flyers/2004/e-072.pdf

More information and additional discussions can be found here:

This is NVCC’s 11th year hosting this event and it is always a blast.

Hope to see you there!

There is a local SCCA chapter (use google for the website).  If you go to their website, you'll get all of the info that you need.

thanks greg.

Are there many cacc members that perticipate in scca sanctioned auto-x?

From what i remember there arent many local auto-x events in the DC area. In NY metro there was one almost every weekend some where.

There might have been a couple CACC members to show up at an SCCA Autocross, but I'm not sure if anyone ran.  They are held at FedEx field and if I remember correctly, there is one/month.  I think they start in March and go through October.  It has been awhile since I looked.

There are other Autocross events throughout the summer that other organizations sponser, but I don't have too much info on those.

thanks again.

I had heard that there were events at fed-ex field. I was really looking for something more convenient to NOVA.

My focus this season is to get susan into some driving events at summit point. I have spoken with cliff about this and there are several programs at summit that she will enjoy.

Time spent together at the track.......priceless. :D
