The word I've received is that all marques are welcome up to the capacity of the event.
The chief discriminator for driver events I've been to has always been the safety of the car. This one appears to be no different other than requiring membership in Audi Club. Your car has to provide the same safety to an instructor as it does to the driver... this is the kicker with Cobras since a lions' share of them have only a single, drivers-side rollbar.
I don't think there will be open track time for drivers solo where you only need to protect yourself. The key to getting those kinds of dates is logged experience on track with an instructor to earn your way up to solo running.
Honestly, I need the experience time with instructors so I'm happy to take my Passat. I'm good with the flags, signals, protocol, etc and am getting good at driving the line. My car surprises both myself and some high-dollar rides. I need to get better at packing out a paddock kit for the car in between sessions. Meanwheile, I'm documenting plenty of time with experienced instrucotrs helping me learn. By the time I've got a Cobra I'll be ready to go solo... even though I anticipate my FFR to have a double-wide hoop!
As for the date conflict in the registration materials, I spoke with Marc Nguyen last evening and cleared that up. Current ACNA members may register first up until February 11th. That doesn't waive the ACNA membership requirement, so the loophole there is to become a member right away and send in your registration before the 11th... like I just did.
