We have reserved (and paid for) the
Allsports Grand Prix Kart Track for next
Saturday, August 10th from 1 PM to about 4 PM. They are expecting about 24 of us to be participating. However, all are welcome to come and watch.
We are registered for their Sprint Heat Race. This is a race where we will be assigned to one of 6 teams with 4 drivers for each, and will race for 8 laps (+/-) then pit and rotate drivers. Therefore only six Karts are on the track at a time. This rotation will continue until we each driver has completed 5 rotations/races or we run out of time. The team that has the best overall time will win and will be awarded trophies and champagne with a podium ceremony. (I may have some of the details incorrect, so don’t hold me to this.)
We were informed that due to the size of our group we will all need to be registered, suited up and on the track before they begin the first heat. We need to do this as quickly as possible to insure the maximum track time. All participants need to be present and registered to get the Karts grouped. So,
EVERYONE WILL NEED TO BE THERE BY 1 PM.
As you might have expected, you will have to sign a waiver before getting on the track. So to facilitate that I will have copies available on Saturday at the grease up.

From Route 7. Take Cascades Parkway (Route 637) South, through two traffic lights, right on Maries Rd. to end-last Building on left.
From Route 28 (Sully Road). Take Nokes Blvd. east past Dulles Mall, turn right on Cascades Parkway and next right on Maries Blvd. & same as above.
