Hmmm.  Still a ways off, but I just looked at the forecast for Cumberland.  Rain tires may be in order.  :(  Hopefully the outlook will improve between now and the weekend.  O0

Damn, I'm so psyched about this weekend....I hope it doesn't rain.

In all seriousness, assuming a wet course, I wonder if regular street tires would be better of if the R-compounds would still perform better (assuming no real standing water)?

If no standing water, I'd guess the R compounds would still be the best bet.  But if it's wet plus a bunch of puddles - as it'll probably be if there's much rain, streets might work better.  I might actually bring the red POS is the weather doesn't look like it'll cooperate.

If I bring the Cobra, I'll be trailering and I'll be taking along my street tires and a jack.  Be glad to throw your street skins in if you want.  Let me know.

I appreciate the offer, I just don't know I'd get them to you between now and Friday.  Plus...ummmm....they won't...errrrrr...quite fit on the car at the.....uhhhhh....present ride height.  :coolsmiley: :coolsmiley:  I could change it at the track, but it would suck.  I'll just make the decision Friday whether to run on the Toyo's or switch to Yokos (or take the Miata).

Oh that's right, I forgot you've got that "stock" slammed BP heap that won't even accomodate OEM wheels.  ;D

Weasel,

When you head up to Cumberland, don't you take Rt 50 to Romney, then Rt 28 into Cumberland?  And you think that's quicker than taking Rt 522?  When you go through Winchester, do you just stay on 50, or do the 81/11/37/50 loop?

Yes, 50 to Romney then straight up 28, then right onto airport road or whatever it is.  You'll know you're close when you see the big cock on the left (although Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima swear it doesn't exist).  ;)   I've done the Winchester thing both ways.  50 through town is quite a bit shorter, but it sucks and its easy to get lost.  The 81/11/37/50 loop is much easier and I swear it's quicker.  I can make it from my house to the airport in 2 hours.  It's 120 miles on the nose.

Jose,

And just where will this cold beer trailer be located?  Best Western?  Airport?  This is fairly important information!  8)

If there's free beer somewhere, I'll sniff it out. See you guys at the Best Western tomorrow afternoon - I'm going to try to leave here around lunchtime...
