4.6 donor wiring
« on: October 13, 2007, 05:13:17 pm »
I have contacted CBC Tech and I squared about a wiring diet and reflash of my computer. Does anyone have a suggestion about a more reasonable ($) approach to this situation?

Thank you for the advice. If I use a Holley it will be on top of a BBC, but in the spirit of the thing I thought I would try FOMOCO. Once again thank you.

Hey Tom,
I would get an I-Squared system for the car and an EFI harness from Painless for the 4.6.  Your computer and all engine sensors will hook right up to it without any mods.  Wiring can be a real nightmare, but these systems make it pretty easy.

Thank you, Rob. I think that is where I am at. Just fishin' for a cheaper approach. I have mader a valiant attempt to make the stock harness work with out any luck. BTW grat time, count on me next year for help.

Tom,
There is a guy in Manheim, PA named Rob Weatherbie, company is ProTune.  He can take your existing harnes and wire diet it for you and label everything...  The I-squared system is nice, but you could just go with the Painless 12 circuit harness and the EFI harness from them too and save some $$$
