GD Euro on it's way to Springfield, VA

This is my contribution to the variety in the DC area. Not 100% accurate as the running gear is now different which i don't have pictures of.

 If only!!

All i know is North Springfield very close to the Elementary School. It was the only single family home for rent with a garage that we found the whole time we were there.

Nice Lotus 7 in your sig. That's my next project. I have all the build plans, just need space and time. What are you running in that? Build it yourself?

It has a supercharged GM 3.8 out of a junked Grand Prix.  I bought it already assembled - the builder put 250 miles on it and decided the build was more enjoyable than the car.  His loss, my gain.

What's the wheel base and track of the GD427? Looks longer and wider than most.

I guess if he steering wheel is on the wrong side, the dizzy might as well be. ::)

Couldn't tell you what the track is, but it is the correct 90" wheelbase. It looks longer than the rest because it's not based on the 427, it's molded after the 289 cobra. I believe there were only ever 27 MKIII 289 cobras produced. The 427's had steroids pumped into the wheel arches making them look a little shorter.

I guess if he steering wheel is on the wrong side, the dizzy might as well be. ::)

Just trying to follow Shelby's original wishes  ;D

The car will not be on it's way to VA after all - just sold it this morning

It was a tough decision but it made the most sense right now - i can always get another when we move to a bigger place.
