I might go on Friday.  I think it's 4-5 hours from DC.  I wonder if Kopec will skip out of town early again

I have a picture of Rick Kopec at NJMP taken on the last day on SAAC-33 (8/17/09) at 4:58 PM.  I also have a picture of Rick Kopec pulling into the Wawa Gas Station in Millville at 6:16 PM.  I had dinner with Rick and his wife the last day of SAAC-33.  Rick and I were the very last to leave SAAC-33.  In fact I drove first to show the way to where we had dinner.  I live 2 miles from NJMP.  Rick didn't skip out or hurry away from anything.

What I said was 100% correct.  Last year was SAAC-33 in Millville, NJ at NJMP.  This year is Beaverun near Pittsburgh, that's SAAC-34.

I am thinking of attending this event.  It would be great to get a caravan of CACC folks to attend.  Any interest?

Am I missing something there?  This looks like a really good event and it is relatively close for us, this year.  Why isn't there more interest in this?  Should I reconsider?

Thanks!

It's a great event for Cobra owners. If you haven't been to one, it's definitely worth doing. It's one of the few venues that newbies can track their Cobra without an instructor or the dual roll-bar requirement. Beaver Run is a neat little track and reasonably safe.

However, if you've done a lot of track events, you find that SAAC is expensive and you pay a lot for not-much track time; and the beginner's run groups are filled with imbiciles that haven't a clue what to do on the track.

If your going for the car show, you'll probably going to see more original Cobras & Shelbys than anywhere else on the east coast.

Not sure why other's aren't going, but I've been to Beaver Run many times, and to numerous SAAC conventions.
I don't need to see Rick Kopec again, and I'm saving my $$ for other tracks.

SAAC ? ? ? ? .......

Thanks Scott.  I am going to give it a shot.  It will be the longest trip in the Cobra to date.
