About 4:00 pm yesterday, I received formal notice from Pa Dept of
Transportation approving our events at Mid-State Airport for 2009. I just
got back from meeting with Airport Authority members to tie up some loose
ends and so it's now official.
Central Pa Region will be conducting autocross events at Mid-State Airport
on:
July 26
August 21, 22, 23 (CONE KILLER CLASSIC)
September 13
October 4
The event originally scheduled at Jaffa Shrine in Altoona on July 26 has
been cancelled. When we finally got a contract from them, it turned out to
be nothing like what was discussed back in March and the pricing was
dramatically higher than Mid State Airport so it was simply not economically
feasible.
The CPI site is working out extremely well for us and we anticipate
continuing events there for the foreseeable future. However, due to the
added dates at Mid-State Airport, we are cancelling the Saturday July 11
date. Please note that Sunday July 12 is still on the schedule.
Chris More will update our website with the schedule changes as soon as
practical.
