WHEN: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2010

WHERE: MIDDLEBURG, VA

WHAT: 3rd annual CACC's COBRA THUNDER  The town of Middleburg and CACC member, Jack Goehring are hosting a Cobra show, luncheon, Scenic cruise and Winery tour.


DETAILS as FOLLOWS:

11-11:30 Arrive and Park on North Madison Ave. in downtown Middleburg. Madison is the main stop light downtown, and the street will be closed off for Cobra Parking. If you are traveling out route 50, take a right at the light. Arrive earlier and let the S.O. browse the exclusive shops in town....but bring bags of money. (GPS address: N. 11:30 Grab a table at the Red Horse Tavern for lunch...2 blocks west of Madison. This is a busy place on the weekends, so if you're not there by at least 11:30 you may not get a seat. (GPS address: 112 W. Washington St. Middleburg, VA)

                                         


~1:00 Depart Middleburg for a cruise through the beautiful Loudon County Horse country. The route will be somewhat different from last year and we do not have a stop at Boxwood winery. The directions are below, but we will have printed directions available that Saturday.

                                       

~1:30 - 2:00 PM Arrive a Barrel Oak Winery. Owner, Brian Roeder and Tasting Room Manager Kristin Heydt are again pleased to have CACC visit and have reserved  parking for the Cobras. There are lots of tables and chairs inside and out for enjoying the wine and view. I believe self-guided tours of the winery will be available. Details are still being ironed out. Our official host is Jack "the ripper" Goehring. He is negotiating with the town for parking on the street again, and maybe a live band.
