This year's cruise follows much of our previous routes. Those folks coming from Northern VA can meet at Cooper School which is just off exit 44 on the Beltway. Also, anyone can connect with the cruise at any of the stops along the route. The times are approximate, and there is no guarantee we can keep to this schedule exactly.
You are strongly encouraged to print out these directions and keep them with you. We will inevitably be separated into smaller groups in between stops and you should know how to navigate the route by yourself.
The only stop with bathroom facilities is the Pierce Mill stop in Rock Creek. Also, this year we will not be stopping along Hains point since "The Awakening" Statue is no longer there.

Assemble at COOPER SCHOOL, Balls Hill Rd, McLean, Va
1 10:00 AM Depart Cooper School, right on Balls Hill Rd to light
Left on Georgetown Pike, then immediate right and take ramp onto I-495 N toward Rockville
Stay right and take exit #43/George Washington Memorial Parkway towards Washington
Take GW parkway S, for ~ 9.9 miles
Exit right on Rte 50, then bear left onto Roosevelt Bridge to DC
Stay in center lanes on to Constitution Ave, go 6 blocks
Right on 17th Street & go past WW II memorial
Bear right on Independence Ave then immediate left to make U turn
Go east on Independence Ave for ~ 1/4 mile
Bear right on Maine Ave for 1 block, and turn right into Tidal Basin Parking lot
