Sorry I missed everyone at the VI this morning. :rolleyes: I think we are to going have to start suspending meeting during the summer or scaling back the Saturdays (i.e. 2nd Saturdays of the month) or something because this isn't the only time I have been the only one to show up. Just saying.
 
Has there ever been a push to get younger people involved in this club? I can only speak for my age group (mid thirties) but as generations pass, more and more people seem to have less of an interest in older vehicles.
 
I just got back from 2+ weeks at Philmont, will definitely be at the VI next weekend - training for the scouting trip took most of my summer Saturdays but we ended up hiking over 80 miles in the mountains of NM with no injuries, drama or problems.

Believe it or not, I was there before 0800. Considering I have no sleep in days, I think that is pretty good. Where is the pat yourself on the back emoji when you need it.
 
Gary and I were there last week and it was closed.
We went over to the diner at Tysons.

Hot Rod, it's summer, and life gets in the way I guess.

Man, I miss those bad coffee, greasy eggs and cold toast breakfasts meets there. One of these Saturdays I'll make it there again when things are not so strenuous, hopefully soon.

I overslept after 800 miles of driving to customer calls this week..... sorry! September is looking more sane for me

As Howard mentioned the VI was closed two weeks in a row. I was in town on the 17th and swung by the startlingly empty parking lot. Not sure why they chose Saturday mornings for "maintenance"

The club has always been a somewhat naturally occurring group with no official recruiting. Of course we are also not an official club with by-laws, dues or elections etc. and I think most of us prefer it that way (but I can't speak for others). That said, back when we did have dues we would fill three tables at the VI every week o_O
 
Always went there for the chili dogs, and did not realize they had breakfast.

Just to confirm - 2nd Saturday every month? Next date the 12th of October? What time?

Or meet some at Katie’s Cars & Coffee in Great Falls every Saturday for some CACC members to meet and greet.
 
I need to take my daughter to the airport at 6am this Saturday so I'll be missing pulling into one of the early slots at Katie's this Saturday. No early slot, no Katie's. But, what time do you guys meet at the VI for breakfast? Like I mentioned in my "looking for a trailer" thread, my eldest will be in town and he'd love to see your Cobras. I might even let him drive the Shelby over to meet you guys (YIKES!!!).

CACC weekly Saturday "Greaseup" breakfast. 7:30 am to approx. 9:30. Arrive by 7:45AM, inside by 8 am. Best greasy food and surly waitresses in the DC area. Cobra Parking is in the lot behind the VI. Entrance via Maple street. http://www.viennainn.com/
