I decided to ditch the old fiberglass and plywood vinyl covered classic seats. These things were not comfortable on long cruises. So, I sourced a set of steel framed leather seats from FFR's Black Friday sale late last year.
Using the existing Breeze seat mounts in the car, I retrofitted some steel plates to bolt onto the seat mounts. The seats are secured with screws through the steel framed seats and into steel rivet nuts in the steel plate. Also, installed nylon spacers between the plate and the steel framed seats to allow room for the seat heater wires. Viola! I'm stoked. These things are a lot more comfortable. They wrap around you more and the seat back is 2" taller.
