Father's Day Car Show at Sunset Hills Winery

Sunset Hills Winery in Purcellville is having its annual Father's Day Car Show on June 18th, from 12-3. Maybe this year we can get a few more Cobras to attend.
The owner of the winery (Mike Canney) is a race car driver and has a few collector cars that come out for the event.
With a great combination of cars, wine, beautiful grounds including the timber frame barn tasting room, and live music, it is bound to be a nice Father's Day event.

The cam is the only part that is back ordered and it is due to arrive on the 15th. Unfortunately it is also the first part to be installed in the reassembly, so progress has come to a big halt. It would be great to have the car roadworthy by the 18th, but that may be too optimistic. But I will try.
 
I never knew what engine issues you were having. Since we both have BDR's who originally built your engine and what happened. Sorry that you wont make Leesburg. I might join you for the winery and maybe get some other Cobras there like Hector.
 
I am the second owner of BDR serial number 15, built in 2001. In the early feuding days of Backdraft, the folks in Florida lost the records of who built my engine. They think it was Mustangs of Florida, but no one is really certain. On this past New Year's Day Frostbite cruise, the cam gear and the distributor gear stopped playing nice together. I was lucky enough to glide along the expressway in Georgetown, run the red light, and park under the "Exorcist" stairs at the Exxon station. When it finally got warm enough to work in the garage, I discovered all the damage. Now I await the last few pieces before I can begin the reassembly. If all goes well, I will be up and running later this month. Thanks for asking. In any event, I will be at the Leesburg show and the Sunset Hills show, with or without a Cobra.
