I’d love to go! If we could also have nice picture of our cobras with jet fighters, that’d be the cherry on the cake.

Scott,
From experience from Andrews Air Shows there is no parking on base, all cars of visiting patrons will be off base, at assigned locations. Never seen special parking for muscle cars.

Also just read the Blue Angels are grounded for some non-flyer of the misconduct, hopefully they’ll be at the air show after the investigation is completed.

I knew the last Navy CO, but not this one. He is a helo pilot so I'll contact my buddies to see if they know him. If i can make contact, maybe we could go in back gate and park on Navy side.

I’m going to have to talk to whoever put that list together! We’ll have one of each of our jets there.

They titled it "Home fliers" They also didn't mention Navy home guard, or any other Navy aircraft that will also be there. Thats what haven't happens when you let the Air Force take charge

They also list “Static Displays” then show a CAF P-51 and UH-1N only.

That’s what happens when you let a Navy guy try to read! :moon:

How can you have a plane show without F-4's ?

All the cool ones have tailhooks.:coolsmiley:O0

Had one of the last AF F4 demo guys stop into Dover a couple of years ago. His assignment was to sit in the back to flight test the QF4 drones. As a side gig, he got to fly all over in a pristine F4 doing Heritage Flights.

That's because it an 'AIR FORCE' sponsored event, Ken!

I know it's not the same thing but the Dulles Plane pull event in September has a car show as part of the festivities (weather permitting). I took my Cobra one time and only had fifty kids crawling all over it and 500 finger prints. Well it was not that bad but shows open to thousands of people are a protective car owners worst nightmare. I would imagine if the let some cars into Andrews for a display it would not be much different.

but the Air Force has better toys. The Navy uses handmedowns or second hand toys!

In your dreams, OBTW both the Navy and the Marines fly the F-35 as well, and the Navy H-60s are second to none

And were do you work now

Thanks Ken for chiming in!
The comparison between the F-35s to the Air Forces F-35s are totally a different breed. One the Navy’s are heavy and range are lacking in the hang time over target to where the AF F-35s are lighter... Which makes them superior in to the Navy’s and The F-35 STOL version. Flying bricks.
The H-60s, i got nothing.
And working for the Navy is just a side job for observing them in their natural habitat!!
Go Navy! Go Air Force!! Just kidding about the go Navy!!!

By the way, I think the F-35s are a waste of money, or just too expensive.
