Hi Mike it was the older unit, the car would run fine if a little rich to about 3800 rpm the buck and stutter like it was hitting a hard rev limiter. Long story short after checking everything from the pump forward to the fuel injectors, I just had the system yanked and replaced it with a QuickFuel carb running greatCaesar, was it the original A9L with a Mass Flo intake or the newer Pro-M computer? My A9L fried itself last summer and I replaced it with the Pro-M setup just before the Rehoboth run last fall. Seems to be running OK.
Caesar - sorry you are having issues, but it seems like you have a plan. Good luck on the conversion, it should be seet when you get it done. Enjoy Rehoboth.
BTW - Thinking a 600cfm might be a little big for a 302, but then again I am an EFI guy (well when it works).
