Great day out, until I got lost and bailed on lunch!
Eagerly awaiting status report from Joe Kennedy - I'm betting that his MSD box let out the magic smoke on the parkway....
Tim,
Thanks for hanging out for awhile. I still have your vice grips.
Flatbed FINALLY showed up at 2 pm.
The car's sitting in the driveway for now, I'm still too whizzed
to do any troubleshooting.

Sorry to hear that. I could have gone home and gotten a trailer and come back to get you faster than that.

Let me know if you want some help troubleshooting.

The LED headlights gives very crisp light - don't mind driving in the dark after installing those. Might not be very original look - sometimes it is function over fashion :)
Not very expensive either: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/morimoto-sealed7-bi-led-headlights-7.html
Scott, you could also convert your bulbs or lamps to 100/80 watts. The 100 watt high beam is remarkably brighter with 50% increase in distance. Plus it looks somewhat stock.

The lens is flatter that OE style.
