I just received a call from Craig Mogus advising me the Jack has passed. He apparently died of natural causes peacefully in his bed Friday night. They found him today after calls to the house and cell phones went unanswered.

UPDATE 10/3/17
The funeral services for Blackjack will be held on Friday at 5pm at:
Loudoun County Funeral Chapel
158 Catoctin Circle SE
Leesburg, VA 20175

(Since many CACC members rarely look at this site on weekends, I will also send emails to as many as I have in my contact list.)

I posted on the CACC forum on Facebook. Here's what I stated.

My heart is heavy to hear this about Jack, he was a great man and a good friend to us all. My deepest heartfelt condolences for his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed and I'll miss our conversations and moments with him.
Rest In Peace my friend, you have lived so many lives, now go and make a new chapter!

Damn, this sucks.

Very sad news. Will miss Jack and remember him each week at the Friday lunches. Glad he joined us on the last cruise. He left us still doing the things he loved.

Blackjack's Excalibur was the second Cobra I drove. I almost put it in the wall at the dyno shop because of the close pedals! I rode with him on a couple of New Years Day cruises. Always an interesting conversation! Blackjack, you will be missed.

They do not have funeral plans yet, but said they expected the services would be Friday. I will post any information as soon as I receive it.
