T5 Transmission repair?

Howard and I visited this guy who built a GT-40 from RCR before Howard bought and built his. He is a transmission specialist out of Westminister, Md. His name is Ron McCall (410-239-2291). A nice guy and an easy drive

Thanks for the tip. I know him from the Pantera rebuild. He's the one that had the special tool to hold the ZF5 gear shafts when installing back in the case. We only found that out after we were done. (We used Zip ties. :uglystupid2:) I'll give him a call.

County Transmissions, Dominion Dr. Vienna. Essentially behind the Vienna Inn off of Church St. See a lot of classic cars in their parking lot. They rebuilt the tranny in my GMC.

Scott,
Carl Merewicz is a club member and owns an AAMCO Transmission Auto Repair Shop here in Southern Maryland. I know it’s 50 miles away from you. Just throwing it out there let me know and I’ll get you his number.

I have been told from a couple of tranny guys that over seas parts for the T5"s are crappy, and they wont use them. I would check with your builder on the source of his parts as good parts are very hard to get.

Stay away from those tranny guys. There is one running for governor of California now that used to be on a Wheaties box!!:):moon::)

Your clever comment gave me a good laugh. I enjoy clever humor...even if the liberal police will punish us.
