Looks like Joe grenaded his diff at Summit Point a few weeks ago .Katherine has removed it and discovered the ring gear has loosened from the carrier! :tickedoff:

Rather than rebuld it, he's thinking of getting an assembled rebuilt one. Any of you FF experts know where to get one of these. I assume it's the 8.8" with posi. Not sure what ratio he has, but will find out. I've reached out to Mark FFR Travelling Builder as well.
 
Availability of these was one reason FFR moved to 2015 IRS. You need the one from the supervouoe, 8.8. These where also in Lincoln MK VIII.

Took it apart and it's a 3.54 Posi unit with 28 spline axles. With an ally case, the diff may have come out of a Lincoln. (No tag on the diff). And someone put in the posi 3.54 center section.
Sure enough, one of the mounting bolts came out and was crashing around the diff trashing teeth on both the pinon and ring gears. other bolts were loose and ring gear was slightly off the center section.
