Can any CACC members recommend someone reliable with enclosed trailer to ship my ERA from Annapolis to Robbinsville NC (Tail of Dragon area) early Sept, returning couple weeks later? Have quotes in $800-1000 range (each way) from the major shippers. Looking for less expensive solution if I can find a reputable independent operation.

Thanks for any leads.

You can rent a trailer from uhaul if you have something to tow with. The work great for cobras.

I rented a U-Haul van and trailer, and brought my Cobra from Greesnboro, NC., to Burke, VA. The total cost was $606 for the one way trip.

Thanks for the ideas. I won’t bore but in brief this is an annual trip where a) I do most of the driving b) in a vehicle that won’t haul a Cobra.

Of course I’d drive it - if that were an option (said with a friendly “Duh”).

I’ll keep looking - whatever the $ it will be worth it to have the ERA to flog around those roads for 12 days!

If you want to rent both the trailer and a truck to pull it, check the prices with U haul for 12 days. It may be competitive.
